I came to you again today.  I stretched out over your ruby earth,

peered at the gray airiness hanging from one end of the canyon to the other.  

Your placidity emanated from boulder to water to the trees breathing in the April wind.  

Memory after memory arrived naked at my feet, so

I pulled out my tools and I began to paint them.
